Direct Seed any time after the last spring frost date, ensure soil temperature is at-least 48 degrees for proper germination. Plant beans 1 inch deep and 2 inches apart in rows 18 inches apart. Water regularly to ensure consistent flowering. Harvest when young and tender.
Depending on the seed, you will start to see germination in as little as 3 days. But plan for 2 weeks for most seeds.
Seeds are best planted the same year to avoid germination % decreases. If you are planting older seeds be sure to plant heavy and thin later. It is advised that you soak seeds 12 hours to increase germination.
